Enabling RDP on Cisco 5510

Hi -

I'm looking to enable RDP (using ASDM) on my Cisco ASA 5510 (ASA version 8.4(5), ASDM version 7.1(1)52).  I can't figure out the NAT rules.

Can someone assist?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I've found it easiest to perform the nat rules for something like this under the object you're natting to, not under the NAT rules themselves.

The attached picture shows how to set the nat for RDP specifically. This is also known as port forwarding. Edit the object you want to nat RDP for, expand the NAT section, and select static nat. Type in the public IP you want to nat to, and then click Advanced. In the advanced window you can specify the port to forward. The only thing missing is the ACL rule to allow the traffic inbound.
