Server Image Backup
Hi There,
Currently my company has a Dell Windows 2003 server Standard edition R2 with 4 SAS drives in a Hardware Raid 5 setup and is being backed up via external harddrive using Symantec backup exec 2010 software. The information being backed up is mainly the User data, but i would like to put a faster disaster recovery solution in place, so in the event the server crashes out completely and it takes weeks to order a new server, i can get a backup image running on any side computer i use in a virtual mode. Then when I do get the new server or parts that i needed for that server to get it up and running again i could image that virtual mode back to the Server or new server. Is this possible and what software could i use to image my server?
Thanks
Mike

For DR i would like to suggest go for Zeniths BDR G14 or TigerCloud (with business Continuity) , both are good product and cheaper.

I Tried to make a backup using acronis shahzoor and trying to recover on another pc doesn't seem to show any files. Is there a trick to this. Can you direct me to some good instructions on how to create a backup then restore as an image
