I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Reinstall VMware as it will retain the VMs (upgrade the existing version)

Have you forget the password of the ESX/ESXi host as the guest Linux VM's?

If its ESXi then re-install is in the only supported option and for ESX you can follow the instruction provided as above.

If Guest Linux VM's please confirm the version
