I have a list that has several fields. what i am trying to do is one fo the fields is called completed date and one of the fields is call status. what i am finding is that people will insert the completed date once they are done with the action but not change the status to complete. what i want to do is make a workflow that looks at the completed date field and if it is not empty then set the status to complete. I have tried setting completed date to a variable and then making a condition that say if the variable is not empty then set status to completed but as soon as i assign someone an action itemand they click to open the list it sets it to complete... is there a way to accomplish this in 2010?
