jsp param passing


I would like to know what is the difference of passing param with delimitter & , ; as below.



Which one we should use when.
When can i use paramValues collection.

when do we use jsp:params, jsp:param,jsp:plugin

Please advise.

They are the same thing, semicolon is just a different way to separate the query string parameters. For more information have a look at wikipedia for the query string.

if i use & output coming correct as below

If you have values with the same parameter then you should use paramValues.

ex. http://localhost:8181/jsps/ManyParams.jsp?param1=aaa¶m1=bbb¶m2=ccc

ParamValues will return an array of string for values with same param name as param1 in the above example.

Param will return a string for a given parameter as param2 in the example.
