I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You cannot remove your username, once it is created the only option would be to create a new account.

You cannot hide this, it is the way the web browser and FB know what content to show the user viewing the page.  It would be up to them (FACEBOOK) to handle this using some special code/settings on their end.

Sorry, not possible.

Yes, It is not possible to hide the username from your profile URL. Because, that is your identity on facebook.
But why you want to hide the username ??
If you are a facebook user then you are a part of some social networking (public) zone. So there are no hidden activities will be entertained by user.
So, if you don't want to show yourself then you can deactivate your account. But, Don't worry your account and data will remains as it is. To activate your account you can simply logged in to your account.
So sometimes it is good to deactivate the account for specific period of time.
It's like an Holiday.
When you have deactivated the account, then nobody will find you on facebook.
