remove exchange attributes from exchange 2010

In exchange 2003 there was a utility that allowed you to remove an email address from an active directory object. You would right click on the ad/exchange integrated tool and then select remove exchange attribute. Does exchange 2010 have the same equivalent. I saw this script and wondering if it does the samething.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can simply open exchange management console and right click a user and select disable this removes only exchange properties and deletes the mailbox but leaves the AD user

In Exchange 2007 and above Exchange has been completely separated from Active Directory. Althought Exchange relys on AD all of the management is done form the Exchange Management Console and Exchange Management Shell.

just to add, there is no exchange integration with the ADUC console as there was in 2003

the exchange management tools in 2007 or higher doesn't have those context menus and tabs on user object properties as was the case with 2003

You do not need a script to do the same thing as the 2003 Exchange System Manager gave you. Please read the following for more info on using disable-mailbox
