How to share emailaddresses

Setup: W2003 SBS plus Exchange 2003. This is where all my mil comes in and is distributed amongst the users.

Next to that I have a separate emailaddress through an ISP. In my Outlook I have made a POP3 account to receive that mail and also be able to SEND under that account.

Now a colleague of mine also would like to receive that 'separate ISP' account' and also be able to use that emailaddress as sender.

Question is how.

Thanks

Hi,

Add it to his outlook?

If you want to share it you need to create a pop3 connector in ESM and divide the mail there.

Thank you Patricksr1972, but should I add that POP3 account to my own Exchange account and there share it or create a new user in Exchange and add the new POP3 there?

Hi,

Since you have the request to be able to send 'as' i would create a new user account with a similair name and give yourself and your collegue full rights to this box.
Then point the pop3 connector to this account.

This way you can add (and your collegue) this box to your exchange account in Outlook and both of you see the same data and can send 'as'.

I think your colleague is looking for differenr Pop3 account email aacount then you need to contact ur ISP provider and then he will provide all details as such incoming and outgoing server name and other details require to send and receieve emails.

Then finally he need to setup that details in outlook the same way you have done and he is ready to send and receive emails from that Pop3 account.

I have setup a new user in Exchange and created a GLOBAL POP3 mailbox. Question is now that on the Outlook machine should I now open ee new Exchange account or a plain Internet email account

So you have the POP connector working in ESM and it is delevering the mail to this new users mailbox right?

Next you should give yourself and your collegue FULL RIghts to this mailbox. (in ESM)

Once done, go to your Outlook -> accountsettings -> double click your exchange account.
Go to (more) settings -> advanced and here you add the new users mail account to your outlook.

Get the picture?
