What did I miss when setting up DNS on Windows 2012 Server?

This is my first attempt at setting up Windows 2012 server and Exchange 2013 as virtual machines in a hyper-v 2012 environment.

I have Hyper-V 2012 running with on virtual Windows 2012 server running DHCP, DNS and AD/DS and a separate Windows 2012 virtual machine that I am installing Exchange 2013 onto.

During the install, Exchange said that it failed to find a DNS server.  I can ping the DNS VM by name and IP.  So I am not sure where I went wrong.

Here is the log file from the Exchange installation.... (the domain name in the following listing has been changed to ************** to protect the identity of the organization)

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
