Sharepoint broke after Patch Tuesday

Our company's intranet was working fine until the updates that Microsoft pushed out this last Tuesday.  When they rebooted and came back up on Wednesday morning we were getting 404 errors.  Even when I try to load the SharePoint administration console I get a blank webpage.  I notice some SQL 33002 errors in the event logs.

Anyone else have this happen?  What should I do?

This is SBS2008.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What kind of answer are you getting from MS?

There were issues with the installed updates originally.  There were a total of 4 updates and 3 of them had problems.  We did have to run the psconfig but that was after a hotfix that the MS rep downloaded.

Thanks for the follow-up info. Hope you get it all working.

BTW, I believe MS suggests applying the hotfixes before a service ack, even if the SP is supposed to contain them. OTOH, most DBAs that I know say to make a complete backup before applying any service pack, Microsoft, Oracle, or whatever!

Hope all goes well
