"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Sorry.  Looks like the attachment will not work.  Here's what the error says:

An exception has been encountered.  This may be caused by an extension.

You can get more information by examining the file 'C:\Users\###\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0\ActivityLog.xml'.

Any idea what this means?  How do I fix it?

Can you tell which add-ins to Visual Studio are installed?

This issue comes to me in two cases:
1.Windows Azure SDK
2. Visual studio 2012 update 2

This issue can be caused due to your configuration also.
like Windows7 x64 + Visual Studio 2012

I'm running Visual Studio 2012 update 3 in Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.  So you think this is the problem? Is there any way I can fix this?

After performing a reinstall Visual Studio it appears to be stable. I have not seen that error pop-up after one hour of use.

Thanks!
