Outlook 2010

User using outlook 2010 (Exchange 2010).

Unread count in the inbox shows wrongly.

Even all mails marked read, It shows the some count not read. when the new mail arrives,
after reading new mail also the unread count of the inbox increments by 1.

Created new outlook profile in user PC. Checked in web mail also same issue.

Ran Mfcmapi , tried to make all mails read and tried to load that copy.

Still issue not resolved.

Please assist on this issue.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are there any delegate access rights to the mailbox ?

If so the unread count will not change til all users with access have "read" the email items

There is no delegate access for user mailbox.

Any update

Not sure what to suggest to be honest

I have only seen this where other users have full access permissions granted

The incrementing on receiving a new message is interesting - Check you have "unread messages" selected and not "message count" ?

do you have cached exchange mode enabled ?
if so disable then re-enable it (but} strange this happens also in OWA?
