Show line numbers in Wordpress style editor

I am running a Wordpress site on my iMac. I am using Wordpress v 3.6.
Is there any way (or plugins) that will show line numbers when I am in the style editor?
I see the line numbers when using Firebug on the frontend, but then don't see line numbers in the backend when using the style editor.

Thanks
Mark

Hi Gary,

You are right - I don't want to download the file first.

I have searched the plugins and I already have Ultimate TinyMce, but can't figure out if that provides line numbering or not.

Mark
I don't believe it does.

I'm talking about the text editor when I go to Appearance | editor and then click "style.css"
There is a way to get line numbers for CSS files, sort of.

If you install the Jetpack plugin and activate the custom CSS module, you get a new CSS option under appearance and you could copy/paste the whole CSS file there and use it for line numbers, code hinting, etc.  This is probably not an optimal solution for most themes

Otherwise, I would use an offline editor as the other Experts recommended.
