Hi All,

One of our Virtual PC's (Windows 7) runs ok for 30 mins to 2 hours.

Then for some unknown reason it enters a paused state in ESX

I've had a look on the desktop and there doesn't appear to be any reason (errors in the event log etc)

Any ideas

Disable Power Saving.

It suggests VM is power saving going into standby or hibernation mode which is a paused VM state

Check inside the guest if the powerplan for the Windows 7 is set to set the system to sleep after a specified time.

Open Control Panel > Hardware > Power Options > Change when the computer sleeps

On that page set "Put the computer to sleep" to "Never"
