compare tables in the same database without using mysqldump using mysql workbench

I want to compare many tables without looking at a mysql dump file
because it is difficult to compare inserts using mysql dump file

How exactly do you want to compare them?

select * from table1 where not exists (select * from table2)

FYI it's slow. If you can choose certain columns or filter rows with additional where clauses it goes much faster.

select * from table2 where not exists (select * from table1)

I tried this in many tables and only get null results

okay sqlyog installed trial states they compare

select * from table1 where not exists (select * from table2)
should work
