Unidentified Network

I have a computer with OS windows 7 Pro, actually I'm using a DSL connection with a router SpeedTouch which may computer is connected throw a switch. Most of the time its working good , but usually during weekends a keep receiving a yellow triangle at the bottom RT side just in front of the icon of monitor& cable and I'm not able to connect with the internet. Any trouble shooting suggestions. Thanks

Do you use Wireless LAN?
If so, you may be having the same channel like others.

That yellow triangle means there is a communication problem with your PC and the switch.

1) switch is troublesome
2) PC and switch settings not matching (duplex / speed). Auto/auto sometimes create issues.
3) bad cable
4) If using DHCP, the IP address is not received due to some reason.

In the event viewer or in the switch log you are likely to see more specific reasons......

What switch would you recommend? How can I identify the setting to be match between the PC and switch. What should I look for?

I would be connecting the PC directly with the router and check. Are there multiple PC's connected? Is the switch required? Is this for your home?
