Connecting to exchange externally, ports keep changing...

hi guys,

we are running exchange 2007 and outlook 2010.

we are trying to connect externally to the exchange using outlook however the ports change on a weekly basis (the ones outlook is using to connect) how can i define these ports to remain static?

its the high port numbers that it seems to be scrolling through?

any ideas would be awesome :)

You may use the below command to listen the port

why not using Outlook Anywhere ?
Connection will be rpc over https and you will only have 443 TCP port to set ...
I dont get it ...
If you connect externally to the exchange through Outlook, then  it is Outlook Anywhere and the only port used is 443  and it doesnt change. Furthermore when the client is using HTTPs for reaching the RPC endpoint (through port 443),  it is already provided with fixed ports i.e 6001,6002 and 6004.
