Trouble installing sharepoint 2013

Hi, I'm having trouble installing sharepoint 2013 on Windows server 2011

When trying to install the prerequisites it fails to install all of the packages.

I've tried doing this twice and it always fails and asks for a restart

Does your server have internet connectivity? If so, does it go through a proxy?

If the answer is "yes" to either, you'll need to configure IIS via command line. To do this you'll need the Server OS media.

First of all make sure you are connected to internet.

We read that installing on a Domain Server was not a good idea so tried a different server on our network and it installed fine.
