I recently had to re-install Windows 7 on my Dell PC. Afterwards, it would only recognize the Wi-Fi adaptor to connect to the Internet. &nbsp;I assumed it was because it hadn't installed the Ethernet driver. &nbsp;I downloaded all the Windows updates and installed all the drivers but it would still not find the Ethernet connection. &nbsp;I took the Wi-Fi card out of the PC and re-installed Windows 7 hoping it would find the Ethernet connection. &nbsp;That didn't work either.<br />

Do you have any ideas how to fix this problem? &nbsp;I would like to get the Ethernet connection corrected before proceeding with downloading all of the Windows updates.<br />

Ethernet connection does not work

A switch is a device that filters and forwards packets of data between LAN segments.
