Send mass email with outlook

Is there anyway to send a mass email through outlook? I have the names and emails on an excel sheet. I would like each recipient to receive an email that is only addressed to them. Also, have their name in the first line. So it says "Dear Bob,"

Any way to make this happen?

Have you look into Mail Merge

Open an Excel worksheet
In Columns A type first name
In Column B type last name
In Column C type email address

On the tab rename it Recipient List
Save the Excel Document

Now open Word
Click on the "Mailings" tab
Click on Select Recipients drop down
Select "Use Existing List....."
Browse to the location you save the Excel Document
Click Open
The "Select Table" box opens
Note: We name the Sheet 1 "RecipientList"
Select it and click OK

Now you can Write on the Word document

Like "Dear"
Now from the "Mailings" tab click on "Insert Merge Field" drop down list
You able to select the First, Last , or email address
Example if done correctly you will see
Dear <<First>>
Now click on "Preview Results" still on the "Mailings" tab you can now scroll through to see the names that were added in the document.

If you are finished you can click on "Finish & Merge" drop down list
Select "Send E-mail messages...."

The TO: field should have "Email"
Now write a subject line
Mail Format you can select an item of your choose, but HTML is default
Click okay an you are done.

I hope this helps

Thanks! I'll check that out.

Any limit to the number it will send? Can it send 500? Thanks!
You might get an error message when sending a message to multiple users, Outlook reports “too many recipients”. This error is not given by Outlook but by your ISP or corporate mail administrator. ISPs or corporate mail administrators usually have one of the following limits set or a combination of them;

amount of recipients for a single email
amount of emails that you can send in an hour
amount of emails that you can send in a day

These limits are set to protect their mail server from excessive use or even abuse by spammers. You’ll have to contact your ISP or corporate mail administrator to find out which exact email policies they have in place.
