Xerox 8830 Windows 7 64-bit drivers

Trying to get a Xerox Plotter installed on a Windows 7 64-bit machine. I have read around that the Xerox 510 Wide Format drivers will work. I've downloaded the driver installation package for the 510 series, ran the installation, but when I try to send a print job to the printer, it will fail after about 10-15 seconds. I've tried the HSGL and PS drivers and get the same result with either set.

Has anyone else managed to come across this problem and figured out a way to get it to work.

or even the Global Driver set, which will give you PCL/PCL6/PS drivers that work with just about any printer, including legacy Xerox and non-Xerox.

Yeah I tried several drivers including those and didnt get it to work.

Contacted someone who sold the equipment years ago and found there was a little more configuration to be done.

Xerox 510 driver should work with the 8830 on Windows 7. Set up the printer using a local tcpip port and using the custom interface button to change the port from 9100 to 2000.

Did this on several workstations and all are printing.

Found solution through vendor who sold the equipment years before.
