My agency has an archiving requirement. We only have 4 mailboxes that store about 200,000 messages total per month, which we save for up to 10 years. We currently run EmailXtender, which is no longer valid, and we would like to use Exchange only as an archiving solution.
My question is this:
- What is the feasibility of this, in regards to the limitations of Exchange 2007 archiving, and how can I best get over the archiving issues without purchasing expensive products? I am concerned with database sizing and folder limitations in Exchange.
Please note that these are not user mailboxes. These mailboxes simply store messages for later retrieval per customer requests. Searching body content will be key. Attachments are not a concern.
