Robotic CD/DVD copier

Hello,

Looking for a robotic solution that will copy DVD's and CD's contents to the local hard drive. For example, I have 100 or possibly 1000 disks that I want to get data off and extract to folders on my hard drive or preferrably networked drive. Is there such a solution?? I know they make CD duplicators and robotic DVD scribes but looking for the opposite of that solution...

thanks,

Well ... if you're a do-it-yourselfer, here's a project that will do what you want.
http://www.photopete.com/swarm/roboCD/RoboCD.htm
The author of this project simply wanted music CDs imported into I-Tunes, which has a setting that automatically did the import and ejected the CD;  for what you want to do you'd need a script that would run when a CD/DVD was inserted, and eject it when finished ... but the same changer setup he built would work fine for you.

Note that commercial solutions for this are available, but are a bit pricey -- the MF Digital Ripstation, for example, is ~ $4000, although it's available for a bit less on e-bay:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/MF-DIGITAL-RIPSTATION-4-DRIVE-UNIT-RIPSTATION-v4-4-INSTALLED-CD-RIPPER-MACHINE-/281164401031?pt=US_CD_DVD_Blu_Ray_Duplicators&hash=item4176b44987
