SSRS 2005 on server 2008 issues restoring encryption keys.

I have 2 load balanced SSRS 2005 Report servers built on windows server 2008. One of the servers was recently rebuilt (a brand new install of server 2008 and SSRS 2005). When I went to export (backup) the encryption keys on the main server which has been working all this time the Backup option is/was grayed out. So I thought I would be smart and use a backup of the encryption keys that was created a while back. In doing so I now have the site working on the new server I built and it seems okayish.. any way this broke the main server because encryption keys were not all there.
To correct the issue with the original server on this instance I tried to export the keys on my new server for this instance and import them on the main (original server). However Now I receive an error as follows.

ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.WMIProviderException: The encrypted value for the "LogonCred" configuration setting cannot be decrypted. (rsFailedToDecryptConfigInformation)
   at ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.RSReportServerAdmin.ThrowOnError(ManagementBaseObject mo)
   at ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.RSReportServerAdmin.RestoreEncryptionKey(Byte[] encryptedBytes, String password)

At this point the only thing I know to try is restore the database so that can get the original server working correctly. Then try to figure out why it wont allow me to backup the encryption keys. and once that is fixed then backup the keys and add them to the new server.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have attached a screen shot of what the encryption key utility looks like.
