Adding a SSL cert to Sharepoint 2013

Hi Experts,

I am trying to add a Certificate to the trust on Sharepoint 2013 (1 server setup) and I get the errors attached, from the GUI and Powershell.

The certificate I am trying to add is from Thawte EV

any ideas?

is it a self created certificate or purchased?

Does it contain password?

It is a Thawte certificate...

I have tried with a password, with out a apassword, with a private key and with out a private key.

How come you are adding a Thawte certificate under security-manage trust

Any perticular reason?

If you see the picture I attached, I have tried running that Power Shell script with a different error.

I following a guide for adding a ssl cert, that tells me to do this

What are you trying to achieve?  Are you trying to apply SSL to one of your SharePoint sites?  If so and if you've already created your web app and set it for SSL, you just need to apply the cert to the site in IIS (just like any other IIS site that uses SSL)
