cannot gain local administrator access to server after I put it on Domain

I have just put a stand alone server onto our domain.  When we try to gain access to the root folder now but using the UNC path \\192.168.0.x\c$ and use the local administrator UN and PW we get an access denied.

Any ideas?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Could it be that you have a Group Policy which either renames the local administrator account or disables it.  Ask your domain administrators to check the status of the local accounts.
