Easier way to restore image ?

I created a Macrium Reflect (free version) image of a laptop with Vista OS when it was working optimally. I have the image on an external HD. (All recent data has been backed up)

The laptop is now seriously screwed up and is very slow and I need to restore the good image.
I was going to remove the disk from the laptop and restore it on another PC .... external drive to external drive. Can this be done in an easier manner .... eg. without the second PC?

I had to use another PC in the end.
Your link was spot on, but it didn't work on the laptop, as it was seriously screwed up and windowsPE didn't appear as a restore option .... and I know it was installed.
