The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship

I have a  remote office with an older Windows 2003 domain controller. One of the workstations displays "The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship" when attempting to log in with any of the AD accounts. In the past I have just logged in as the local administrator, removed the workstation from the domain and put it back and everything worked fine. This time however no one seems to know the local administrator password. I know there are password cracks I could download, but that will take time and I will need to over night a CD to them. Is there anything I can do on the server side? I think 2 workstations with the same name were briefly on the network together, I can ping the computer name and it replies with the proper IP address, but if I search for the computer name in active directory ADUC, it does not display. All input on what I could try on the server side is welcome. BTW it is a Windows 7 workstation

you wouldn't be able to do anything in AD on the server since the error indicates the computer account doesn't exist; was probably deleted
