Exchange 2010 Mailbox Feature - Archive greyed out

Ok a couple years ago when we moved to Exch2010 I enabled the Archive feature in two mailboxes as a test.  Mine and another in IT..  Since then during another test I disabled that feature on my account.  It's been a while since then and now I need access to those archive items but have discovered that this features is Greyed out to me now.
I went to the other IT guy and I can Disable or check the properties of the Archive feature on his mailbox, but no one else.

What can I do to re-gain access to this?

Go into EMC and on your mailbox right-click and enable archive
