Configuration Manager 2012 SP1 - Software Center is stuck on downloading 0% complete when trying to install an application

Software Center is stuck on downloading 0% complete when trying to install an application. This is just happening for 2 computers of the 10 that we have tested. We have deleted the application from CM (my guess is that we have not done right) but Software Center keeps running on those computers and they keep trying donwloading the application.

Once the application and the deployment weas deleted from the CM server we have tried at the client level to run the some of the user policy actions to force the client to contact the MP to get the new policies we have restarted the computers but Software center keeps coming with the the downloading message.

How do we stop these 2 computers from checking back with the CM server?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Once the computer receives the deployment advertisement, it will try to do as asked.  Since you have deleted the app out of SCCM, its trying to get the file, which doesnt exist, so its stuck.  This data is cached, so clearing the cache should resolve it.

Go to Control Panel, then Config Mgr, then go to CACHE, click on Configure settings button, then delete files.

If this doesnt work, let us know... here is example thread how to remove an app:

I saw this article right after the application was deleted. I did not follow those steps.

You have a stuck advertisement then... you will have to use this to find it:

http://sccmclictr.codeplex.com/

or it maybe an issue with WMI:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7684

Run the 1st one to see where the issue might be...
