Does full system backup clear exchange logs (exchange 2010)?

I created a huge number of logs moving mailboxes and now I have to get rid of them.

will a full system backup clear the exchange log files?

If the database will be backed up using exchange aware backup, then the answer is yes.
As davorin said, if you perform an exchange specific backup, then yes the logs will go away.  Doing an NTBackup targeting flat file backup is not enough.  It needs to be specifically an exchange backup.

Thanks.  Is there a way to safely truncate the logs.  The backup is taking forever to even start.
If I were you, I'd do a full exchange backup so you have those logs.

The proper way to flush exchange logs is to run an exchange backup. We use Backup Exec 2012 with the Exchange agent. You can use other vendor software, just make sure it is setup for exchange and I'd run a separate exchange backup ahead of a server backup. we always separate those backups.

A regular backup of exchange is a good habit to get into along with a server backup. if your running exchange and your users depend on that email,  Back it up and you are prepared if you ever have to restore or recover data.
