Where to find OS for VM on Windows Server 2012 DataCenter

Hi,

Would anyone know how to get the operating systems for DataCenter Server 2012, after purchase?

I have the license keys for the newly purchased Windows 2012 DC but i havent been able to find where and how to retrieve the OS files for installation as VM on the physical host.

A few sites talk about the unlimited licensing but I havent had much luck on where do find the OS source to use for install as VM on Windows Server 2012 DC.

Appreciate any feedback from anyone that has done this before.

Hi Sushil,

Thank you for responding. Basically what I'm asking is about the OS on the VM. While the physical host server is running Windows 2012 Server DC. Where does one go to find the host OS to run on the physical host since the license allows for unlimited OS's with Win 2012 Server DataCenter Editions.

If you've got unlimited OS's licensing, where can you find the operating systems to install as VM on the physica host?

Windows Server DataCenter only allows unlimited OS licensing for Windows 2012 VM hosts.

Other operating systems which you want to be hosted on the physical server apart from Windows 2012 server will require licensing. eg Windows 2008, Windows 8 etc
