checking a button is clicked in current.aspx file in which button is clicked in previous.aspx

Hi there;

I am trying to check whether a button is clicked in current.aspx file in which button is clicked in previous.aspx.

The button is clicked in previous.aspx and I need to know whether it's clicked in current.aspx.

the prev page is redirected to current one.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

So, you can store the name, text, bool or whatever it is you want to store in session and pull it back out in the second page.

Good one.  Let's make it harder to help people by discouraging people from providing links to helpful discussions elsewhere.

To the OP...Try something like this.  Store a boolean/string/id or whatever you need to figure out what happened on the previous page.

In your first page, something like this:
private void LogLastButton(Button button)
{
   Session["LastButtonId"] = button.ID;
}

protected void ButtonView_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
   this.LogLastButton((Button)sender);
}

protected void ButtonViewDayWise_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
   this.LogLastButton((Button)sender);
}

Open in new window

Then to retrieve the button in the page load of the new page, you can do something along the lines of the following:

Button lastButton = Page.Controls.Find(Session["LastButtonId"].ToString());

Open in new window
