How to burn a cd \dvd as bootable disc?

I am using windows 7 laptop. I wanted to have a bootable CD with an exe file. This is because I wanted to bootup my server using this disc and then un the exe file for some diagnostic. How to do it?

its not so much the cd, as much as configuring the server to read the cd at boot first

when you restart the computer, go into the bios and rearange the boot sequence so CD/DVD is booted before the hard drive

To boot to the disk, first of all it can not be in exe format. you'll need an "ISO" format and then you'll need a 3rd party tool like unetbootin

At the end, it was a message that wrongly passed. I have to run to exe file to extract all required files and make the whole disc as boot disc.
