"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Honestly? Drop the idea. Over the years I have tried all sorts of things and never been happy with what is available. Generated code is far from optimized, obscure, hard to maintain...

What would work however is a micro-language you develop according to your own needs, which allows you to express the required mapping and that generates XSLT using XSLT...

Stylus Studio has a visual mapper that generates XSLT or XQuery code

Not sure it will make you happy (it does not make me happy) but you can try and see for yourself.

XML Spy has similar things but given the poor quality and appalling  support of that product I would not even think about recommending you look at that.

Thanks Gertone.

I have a huge XML document that needs to be transformed to specific format.

It will be easy for me if i get some sort of base xslt code generated by tool and then i can customize the xslt as per the requirements.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I understand.

It sounds as if the Stylus Studio suggestion could be helpful in that case
