How do I pinch to Home in iPhone 5 and swipe to multitask

We can 4 finger pinch in iPad on any apps and the home screen is display also, we swipe up on the iPad and have the multitask displayed.

We have been googling for this same function but for the iPhone 5.  Can this be done for the iPhone and how?

This is all explained in the manual of your iPhone and would be the best place to start looking and learning. You have many options for customizing your 'pinch' and 'gestures'.

First if all, it is rare for anyone with a mobile device to search the manual first when all is on the web (specially if the device is 5 months old).  Nevertheless, the manual has very little help regarding any advance function of the unit.

That is why place question in EE because the regular source of documentation are not clear.  Like we said at the beginning, we googled for this solution and no luck.

Hope an EE can help us.

Thank you anyways.

Multi-touch is NOT supported on iPhone 5 under iOS6 (I've not upgraded to iOS7 yet so cannot comment on that).

If you look in the Settings app under General on the iPad you'll see a checkbox to enable the multi-touch features however this option is not available on the iPhone.

If you jailbreak the iPhone you can "enable" the multi-touch features however it would seem that Apple decided that 3 and 4 finger swipes & pinches on an iPhone screen were not worth supporting by default.

We have ios7 installed in our iPhone 5.  Hope this version has this option.

Check the same settings app under General.

If you don't see an option for multitouch then it isn't in iOS 7 for iPhone.
