Delivery Options in an Exchange email box not working properly
I have set up one of our internal email boxes to forward to an external email address and then have also checked the deliver message to both forwarding address and mailbox. This forwarding is working fine IF the email comes from an internal email. When sent from an external email, the forwarding does not work. The email does still display in the email box but I need the forwarding to work.
Is there something I'm missing in the Delivery Options or else where to make this work?

I had created the contact on the server and that did not work. I've also tried using the message tracking and I can see the test emails come in, but never can see the outgoing forwarding. I don't know if those go out under another sender - they aren't in the sent box and I haven't come up with a combination in the tracking that works.

I have done further investigating and testing. When I took a different email box and did the forwarding to my gmail account, it worked fine. The forwarding issue is some how on our vendor's side of it.
I have expanded on the message tracking and I can see the forward to both my test gmail account and to the vendor account. I'll work with them to figure out the problem!

one more option. you can create the external contact in server and you can enabled the forward option to certain mailbox in server end.
Thanks
