Un-deliverable message when sending to Employee

I posted a question on this once before and I thought it was resolved, but the issue has reoccurred.

The issue is that when users send email to a particular user they get back a bounce-back message indicating the mailbox can't be found. Below you can see two of the ND reports that come in when someone attempts to email the mailbox.

"Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

Kacie M
The e-mail address you entered couldn't be found. Please check the recipient's e-mail address and try to resend the message. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.

This bounce-back is returned when you use click on the user name in the previous email and send an email to it.

The initial suggested solution was to add an x500 address to the mailbox, but that has not resolved the issue.

Anyone have any idea where I should look next?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If the user actually exists in AD/Exchange and has a valid mailbox then the problem is most likely due to Nickname (AutoComplete) in Outlook.

Have the user start typing the email address of the person/mailbox in question and click the "X" beside the autocomplete field to remove this entry.

Then have the user try and send an email going through the GAL>select the user>Click Ok> Send the email. If this works then everything with the mailbox should be good.

The user can then use the new nickname (auto complete) again and it should work.

I have seen this issue in many cases.

Thanks

Will.

As Spec01 says, it is likely a cached contact issue within outlook.

The only other thing I noticed is in the undeliverable section, it references the following email address:

Kacie+20Mb70@Company.lan

Whereas it says it's addressed to Kacie.M@Company.com.  The second message has a very weird address under both sections.

What is the user's default email address set to within active directory?

it should be problem with outlook, it s wrongly captured the email address from auto complete. so you can update the offline address book or manually type email address in outlook and send. it should be delivered to destination.

just go to the exchange powershell and enter the below cmdlets

get-offlineaddressbook | update-offlineaddressbook.

Thanks

Hello,

Ask the sender to send another email by typing the recipient's email address manually, This will work.

you can locally clear the outlook cache for that user. You can do this by locating the user's app data folder and deleting or renaming the NK2 files.
