Asus VivoTab TF810C wont wake from sleep

We have a new Asus VivoTab TF810C with windows 8 on it.  After upgrading to Windows 8 Pro the Tablet will sometimes fall sleep and not wake.  The only way to get it working is to hold the power button till it reboots.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The Tablet will wake from sleep just fine.  If it is left for a longtime it will go into a Hybrid Sleep.  To prevent the Hybrid sleep you need to edit some keys in the reg.

To find the correct keys from command powercfg -QUERY > C:\power.txt open the txt with the piped in info.

you should find something like this...
Power Setting GUID: 94ac6d29-73ce-41a6-809f-6363ba21b47e (Allow hybrid sleep)
GUID Alias: HYBRIDSLEEP
Possible Setting Index: 000
Possible Setting Friendly Name: Off
Possible Setting Index: 001
Possible Setting Friendly Name: On
Current AC Power Setting Index: 0x00000001
Current DC Power Setting Index: 0x00000001

Use the GUID to find the correct keys....

HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\control\power\powersettings\*from Query find Sleep Subgroup GUID*\*From Query find Allow Hybrid Sleep GUID*\DefaultPowerSchemeValues\*Change AC DC to “0” disabling Hybrid Sleep*

Hope this helps

Correction... a few days later the problem started backup.  I found that the upgrade from Windows 8 Home to Windows 8 Pro Media caused the sleep issues.  I reinstalled from the iso just the windows 8 pro.  This has resolved the issue.
