Compare Values in Excel

i have a spreadsheet that contains account number, account Name and Model ID.

I want to compare that with a similiar spreadsheet that contains the same info.

Spreadsheet  1

A:   Account number
B:   Account Name
C:  Model ID

Spreadsheet 2

A:   Account number
B:   Account Name
C:  Model ID

so I want to see if for each matching account number from both spreadsheets if the Value for Model ID is different

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can use conditional formatting to show the model id's that are different with the following formula

That doesnt work, it returns an error.
You will have to adjust Sheet2!$A$2:$C$8 in the formula to the range of the table on the second sheet.  Please see the attached example workbook.

If you attach a copy of your workbook, I can add the conditional formatting for you.

Here you go.  I added conditional formatting so the Model ID will show in red if it does not match the PRU sheet.  I also added a column if you need called Model Matches PRU so you can sort if needed.
