Crystal Reports XI Compatibility with SQL Server 2012

Is Crystal Reports XI compatible with SQL Server 2012 (Standard Edition)?

I need to run reports directly against stored procedures residing on a SQL Server 2012 database.

I've never had issues running reports against other SQL versions, but I need to double-check before committing to a project.

Direct links to legitimate documentation would be very helpful!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have not seen anything that says one way or the other.

Assuming you have a database driver that CR XI can use for MS SQL 2012, you should be able to use it.

it's not officially supported. It might work, but there's no guarantee.  XI is out of support and the latest product availability matrix only shows SQL Server 2008 for XI R2, not even XI.

Basically ,it's a case of "use at your own risk".

What do you mean by "XI is out of support"?

I'll just test it out myself, I only use Crystal to present the data and export to PDF, all data manipulation is done on the server side.

I mean it's an old product that is no longer supported by SAP, they don't add new features, make it compatible with new databases, fix bugs etc...
