Event id 153 (disk) on brand new HP Proliant DL360p G8 running Server 2012

I have a brand new server HP Proliant DL380p G8 server with a fresh load of Server 2012 on it. All drivers and firmware have been updated to latest September Proliant SPP.

When the server is booting up it logs "The IO operation at logical block address #### for Disk 0 was retried". It logs this error twice in the warning log. I have left the server up and running for about a week and it only logs the error when the server is booting up.

I have searched a few MS Knowledge base articles. It appears to be the SCSI driver retrying a block level read.

I have run the hardware through HP Diagnostics for several days to check the hard drives and so far hardware wise it appears to be okay.

I plan on using this server for a future production database server so I am a bit cautious when I see this error.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. I checked the event id properties at 0028: and I am getting 02 04 28. Looks like a SRB_STATUS_ERROR?
