iOS7 authentication issues with OWA on exchange 2010

I went out on a leadge, and installed iOS7 on my iPhone 5, and iPad 2, so far most functions seem to work OK.

One very anoying issue I have found is with browsing to my exchange 2010 SP3 OWA webmail portal using the builtin Safari App. When I do this, as expected, I get an authentication window. I enter my credentials, and OWA opens to show me my inbox just fine.

However when I try to click on anything on the page, I am asked to authenticate again, and if I succefully authenticate, I am able to get the desired result. If I don't authenticate, nothing happens.

I tried the same on IOS 6.0.4 and the default Safari App there, and it works just fine.

Have I come accross and IOS 7 bug? Or is there a setting that I can change on iOS7 or exchange 2010 to remede this problem?

I have a couple of users that have tried this as well in my current environment and get the same results as you. If it worked in the earilier release my guess is it is probably a bug.

Will.
I seem to be able to function normally using iOS7 in Exchange 2010 OWA not 100% on the service pack (it says version 14.03.0158)

ASKER

Spec01,
What version of Exchange 2010 are you running?

Geisrud,
I thought I was on SP3, but as it turns out, I might be SP 2 as my exchange server show Version: 14.02.0347.000. I will try and upgrade to 14.03.0158 at the next opportunity, and then test it.

I will post the results.
We are running SP3.
What kind of authentication methods have been deployed with your OWA?

You need basic authentication as iOS 7 only supports the basic one.
Upgraded to Version 14.3 (Build 123.4) and problem stil exhists.

Question from jackieman: "What kind of authentication methods have been deployed with your OWA?"

Answer: I have, Integrated Windows authentication and Basic authentication, so I think this meets the requirement that you speek of.
Only  Basic authentication is supported.
What is the status?

Nothing suggested pointed me towards the answer. Just came to the answer over time, and normal upgrades.
