Slow ESXi boot process vmw_vaaip_cx

Hi Folks,

Can anyone please shed some light in the slow ESXi boot process which seems to be stuck for long hours in vmw_vaaip_cx steps ?

From the ESXi configurations, I can say that there are around 80+ LUNs presented to each every hosts ranging from VMFS datastore and Physical RDM, see the screenshot below for the status:

Any kind of help and assistance would b e greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I cannot do the steps suggested in: http://www.vnotebook.ca/2013/02/vmware-esxi-host-slow-boot-times.html

to type in

esxcli storage core device setconfig -d <naa.id> --perennially-reserved=true

because it happens on the upgrade process from ESXi 4.1 to ESXi 5.1Update 1, so we're not on ESXi 5.1 yet.
You are correct this is todo with connection to the SAN.

What is the SAN?

and you may need to apply SAN vendor vibs or configuration.
My SAN array is EMC CX4 and VNX5 series.

How is that possible for the setting to take effects while the ESXi 4.1 host is being upgraded to ESXi 5.1 ?
So I guess, that there is no way to accelerate the ESXi server with plenty Physical RDM assign to it :-/ ?
