To pass jquery result to textbox of html

This is on Jquery/HTML/Java script.

So code given by me displays the output at the right place as specified by me. (Div  with id as 'result'.

Please let me know the any method to display the result in text box  so that i can use that value for further validation.

You should use something like this:

$('input[name="textboxname"]').val('some value');

Where "textboxname" is the name of your input text box.

I don't understand why link to another site is not allowed. My intention was just to give some extra details about the line of code I put.
However, if you try the line of code I provided it should work if you just change "textboxname" by the name of your input textbox, and if you change "some value" by the value do you want to assign to it.
