Exchange Autodiscover

The Autodiscover is looking to the old server with message

"the operation couldn't be performed because object servername.domainname.local\autodiscover (default web site) couldn't be found on domain controller"

Don't waste your time changing URLs with set-autodiscovervirtualdirectory. That has NOTHING to do with Autodiscover.

Internally Autodiscover is controlled by one value only:

get-clientaccessserver | select identity, autodiscoverinternalserviceuri

I expect that you have incorrect values for that and it is resolving to the wrong place.
Does the old server still exist? If so, change the value on it to match the new one.

The autodiscover DNS record is not required internally unless either
a. Your SSL certificate is for ONLY.
b. You have non-domain clients on your internal DNS record.

Ensure that any redirection on the default web site doesn't affect the other virtual directories.

2. Base OS on Server?
3. Have you put any redirection on Exchange server IIS Default Website?
