Datacentre backups

I have customers who either have dedicated datacentres or colo or rackspace.

They often want backups offsite so I propose online solutions, usually Asigra, Attix, Datto.

Some customers have alternate sites and we use Veeam rep jobs - anyone using site to site backups with branch cache appliances or alternate backup software to what has been mentioned?

What do others use?

If a Company has a tight recovery SLA is Datto the only real solution - can you put a datto appliance onsite?

I am aware that DC;s will provide backups and replication between their repsective DC's but customers don't like putting so much trust in one company

Actual experiences please!!

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Speaking about Veeam Backup & Replication, version 7 has built-in WAN acceleration that helps optimize data transfer over the WAN. The main idea is that Veeam sends only unique data blocks over the WAN; data blocks that have already been sent are not sent. Official Veeam blog states that WAN-accelerated backup transfers can be up to 50x faster than a traditional file copy across the WAN.

Have a look at Veeam Community forums for actual experiences from Veeam customers.
