2000 Chevy S-10 pickup oil filter location

I have looked under the hood, under the car, inside the wheel well per a video on Youtube for a 2003 S-10, and from a previous question asked here about it. I've looked in all those places with a flash light and do not see the filter. I see the dip stick and where it is headed on the passenger side. No filter seen.

Any help?

Front "left"...?
All other possible locations was right passenger side.
I'll go look left side.

Another possibility is look for a panel just below the bumper. It could be hidden there.

Since you didn't say what motor here are some other options:

2.2L 4 cyln. = passenger side near fan pully
4.3L V6 = drivers side near bell housing

I have a 6 cylinder. On the left all I saw was the air filter, exhaust pipes, and the steering column.
I looked around the fan pulley:
underneath
under hood
and in the wheel well behind the flap that protects the wheels from engine heat

........not finding it.

Did you look under the bumper for the door?

nickg5Author Commented:
Not seeing a door. I'll go to Autozone and since they will want me to buy a filter they may be able to show me where it is on their computer diagrams.

There is an axcess panel for the oil filter toward the driver side in the plastic panel under the front bumper.

My owner's manual says the access panel in only on the 4x4 and mine is a 2 wheel drive.

The filter was found. There was a plastic cover under the bumper but no screw to open it. I was able to reach around the front of the plastic cover and it was basically empty, maybe protecting something at the bottom of the radiator.

I was lying on the ground parallel to the sides of the truck and slid backwards. The small blue filter was seen behind the tranny pan. It was so short it could not be seen when sliding under the left or right side of the truck. It was on the driver side of the tranny but not able to be seen from under the hood.

I see no evidence of the oil pan. I can change the filter with one hand. The only pan I see is the tranny pan.
I've changed oil on all my vehicles for decades and oil pans were right there to be seen with the naked eye, not hidden.
Back to the detective work to find the oil pan, to change the oil and filter and see if it helps oil pressure.

None of the videos on where the filter is located were accurate.

Oil pan drain plug was found right beside the filter.
I loosened it but never took it off, so assume it's oil and not tranny fluid.

The filter was not under the bumper so that solution is eliminated.
