Installing Exchange 2010 SP3 on Cluster

I need to update our Exchange organization to SP3 and need to know the correct process based on our configuration.  As it stands now, we have:

2 Servers acting as Hub Transport & CAS
2 Servers acting as Mailbox servers.

All are in HA mode, and we have it configured with DAG.  See attached file.

What is the best way to do this?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you have load balancing on your CAS/HUB servers, update one of those servers first, wait for the update to complete and reboot it. Once it's done rebooting and you can verify functionality, update the other server, wait for reboot, etc. CAS/HUB will take over for one another pretty easily as long as they are in the same AD site. If you have different AD sites, it's a little more tricky.

For database, set all your databases as active on one of the DAG members, update the other server, wait for reboot, etc. Once the secondary DAG member is back up, mount the databases on that server and update the Primary and go through everything. Then rebalance your databases if you are going active-active.
