Open task manager and see if you have any lingering iexplore.exe processes.<br />
<br />
If that doesn't work, I'd suggest starting up the computer with all non Microsoft processes and services turned off.<br />

This link describes the same issue and the guy outlines the steps necessary to do this. &nbsp;If you follow these steps and you are able to then open IE, you'll want to go through the disabled services and try to find the culprit.<br />
